Adams and at 51 other locations in the city •March 20th - Primary Election day No ID is required for voting in the voter's home precinct on Election Day unless the voter is voting for the first time and has registered by mail without verification. Things To Do: St. Patrick's Day- March 17th Dyeing of the Chicago River - It takes 45 pounds of eco-friendly vegetable dye to turn the Chicago River green each year.
